Let us light the lamp of wisdom within ourselves on this festival of lights
In moments of great distress, Pandavas were only thinking of Krishna, teaching us a lesson about the intimate connection and friendship between Pandavas and Krishna. Lord Krishna protected them as eyelids protect the eyes because of the sacred love Pandavas had for Him. He stood by them as their companion at all times, in difficult times and in good fortune, even when they were living in the forest unrecognised for a whole year. This is the meaning of true friendship. Very rarely is such friendship seen in the present times. The only true friend who will continue to be with us at all times is God; so let us constantly chant His holy name and connect to Him.
