One must not be elated by riches, status, authority, intelligence, etc., which  one may have. We must consider that they have been given to us on trust, so that it may benefit others. They are all signs of His Grace, opportunities of service, and symbols of responsibility. We should never seek to exult over others’ faults; rather we must deal sympathetically with the errors and mistakes of others. Let us seek the good in others; hear only good tidings about them; and not give ear to scandal
